Fall 2016 Enrollment at a Glance

The Fall 2016 edition of the Enrollment at a Glance report is now available.

Some important facts to note from the report data:

• The current enrollment of 3,830 students represents a slight decrease of 1.5 percentage points from last year’s record fall term enrollment of 3,891 students.
• New degree-seeking undergraduate students declined by 7 percentage points, from 1,070 in Fall 2015 to 995 in Fall 2016.
• Students of color now account for 19.3% of new degree-seeking undergraduate students, and for 17.3% of all degree-seeking undergraduate students, both all-time highs for UNC Asheville.
• The ten most popular undergraduate majors are Psychology, Biology, Management, Environmental Studies, Health & Wellness Promotion, New Media, English, Mass Communication, Art, and Computer Science.
