Degree Graning Programs' Assessment Plans

Each degree granting program establishes an assessment plan for each of its Student Learning Outcomes.  Assessment occurs annually and is reported to the Institutional Effectiveness Committee on a three year cycle.  For more information on the assessment cylce, click here.

Written Communication

Written Communication skills are assessed using the AACU Value Rubric for Written Communication.

Critical Thinking

Critical Thinking skills are assessed using the AACU Value Rubric for Critical Thinking.

Scientific and Quantitative Reasoning

This rubric is currently being created.  It will be based on the AACU Value Rubric for Inquiry and Analysis, the AACU Value Rubric for Quantitative Literacy, and quantitative reasoning questions from NSSE.  This will enable us to have direct assessment and indirect (student reported) assessment on several of the evauative components for Scientific and Quantitative Reasoning.

This rubric will be available by August 2016.

Interdisciplinary and Intercultural Perspectives

This rubric is currently being created.  It will be based on the AACU Value Rubrics for Intercultural Knowledge and Competence and Integrative Learning
